About: Hello, my name is Xiaoyan Song, I am from China, but have been living in Austria with my husband and our daughter since 2016. I studied pre-school education at a university in China. After I graduated, I worked in the public kindergarten for three years and worked four years in an IB international school. Since I had my daughter, I have been a full-time mother until this September, I start a part-time job in the local IB International School as a librarian assistant. I became a Discipline and Guidance Group Leader in March 2021. The training helped me a lot in my own family life and has shown me the direction that I want my family to go. I also gained confidence in facing the challenge moment with my daughter. There are also moments that I wish I was parented the way Kim told us in the training. I have led a virtual gathering of the first nine years with parents in China. I enjoyed the process, it is like a journey. That journey inspired me, and I have a clear view of how the Gathering can help parents, how the Gathering can help the community.
